Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Cut beef, lamb, pork, or veal into primal cuts for processing or packaging.
• Prepare meat and poultry by trimming, deboning, and portioning.
• Wash, singe, and prepare poultry for further processing.
• Work in a meat processing and packing plant to maintain product safety and quality.
• Operate knives and saws to meet cutting specifications.
• Maintain cleanliness and adhere to safety and sanitation standards.

• The candidate must cut beef, lamb, pork, or veal carcasses, or sides or quarters of carcasses, into primal cuts for further cutting, processing, or packaging.
• The candidate must remove feathers, singe, and wash poultry in preparation for further processing or packaging.
• The candidate will be responsible for cutting meat and poultry into specific cuts for institutional, commercial, or other wholesale use.
• The candidate must remove the bones from the meat.
• The candidate must cut poultry into parts.
• The candidate will be responsible for cutting, trimming, and preparing standard cuts of meat.
• The candidate must have food safety and handling skills.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English language.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
• The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• The candidate should be accurate.
• The candidate should be a good team player.
• The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
• The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
• The candidate must be able to work in cold/refrigerated conditions.
