SOUTH SEAS ENTERPRISES (2) LTD. in Surrey, BC is hiring for a Meat packager to join our team. The successful candidate will transport materials, assist in packaging and operate packing and forming equipment in a meat processing environment.

The position is permanent full-time with day/evening shifts. Candidates should be fluent in English, reliable, and capable of working in a high-odour setting. Prior experience of 7 months to under 1 year in a related field is preferred.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English.
• No formal education requirement specified.
• Ideal candidate has 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related industry.
• Reliable and a good team player.
• Able to work in an environment with strong odours.

Responsibilities

• Transport raw materials, finished goods and packaging materials.
• Measure and dump ingredients into hoppers of mixing/grinding machines.
• Feed flattened boxes into forming machines to construct containers.
• Remove filled containers from conveyors.
• Manually pack goods into bags, boxes or other containers.
• Feed and unload processing machines.
• Inspect products and packaging for basic quality defects.
• Clean machines and surrounding work areas.
