Job summary

Intercity Packers Ltd. is seeking full-time Meat Material Handlers for our Edmonton team to manage raw materials in the Meat Production Department. Shifts include 5:00am-1:30pm or 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday, with full-time permanent status.

Responsibilities include scanning inputs, loading orders and meat cutters, hauling from cooler to production floor, weighing meat components, and ensuring HACCP/CFIA compliance. Experience with meat production and forklift is a strong asset.

Qualifications

Experience operating forklift and/or pallet jack is a strong asset.
Meat production experience is an asset.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Must have good computer knowledge.
Must understand food safety guidelines.
Effective communication and collaboration.
Handling heavy loads and manual dexterity.
Combination of sitting, standing, bending, crouching, kneeling and walking for extended periods.
Attention to detail, decision making and critical thinking skills.
Exposure to noise, odors, and cold (refrigeration).
Job task planning, organizing, and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

Manage input of raw material, ensuring weighing vs case is scanned as requested.
Update or load orders and meat cutters concurrently (inventory management).
Haul meat demands from cooler to production floor.
Maintain corner/coolers and defrost cleanliness per HACCP/CFIA.
Open meat/products as needed.
Weigh fat, trim, and steak pieces using TI station.
Assist production team when needed for portioning.
Rack/thaw meat as needed.
Pack and label materials as needed.
Load defrost room/cooler/racking as needed.
Rotate loading/scanning of raw materials as needed.
Collaborate with team to meet production goals and deadlines.
Plan and execute production to meet regulatory and SQF requirements.
Operate equipment per expectations.
Meet with supervisor daily.
Report deviations and personnel issues to supervisor.
Perform other duties as required.

As our innovative business grows rapidly, we are seeking full-time Meat Material Handlers to join our Edmonton team. This individual will be managing raw materials for the Meat Production Department.

Position: Full-Time, Permanent
Address: 13506 159 Street, Edmonton, AB T5V0C6
Available Schedules:
1) Monday to Friday. Must be available for the following 2 shifts: 5:00am-1:30pm and 8:00am-4:30pm.
2) Monday to Friday. 8:00am-4:30pm.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Manages the input of raw material, making sure that they are being scanned in (weight vs case) as requested.
Updating or loading orders and meat cutters at the same time (Inventory what is required).
Hauling of the meat demands from cooler to production floor.
Maintains the corner/coolers and defrost cleanliness in accordance with HACCP/CFIA regulations.
Opening meat/products as needed.
Weighing fat, trim, and steak pieces from the cutters using the TI station.
When needed, help to portion with the production team.
Racking/thawing meat as needed.
Packing and labeling of materials as needed.
Loading of defrost room/cooler/racking as needed.
Rotate loading/scanning of raw materials as needed.
Work collaboratively with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines
Plan and execute production to fulfill all regulatory as well as SQF requirements.
Operate all equipment as per expectations.
Meet with the direct supervisor (daily).
Reports any deviations and/or personnel issues to his/her direct supervisor.
Perform any other duties as required.
