Job summary

Sobeys Meat Wrapper role in the Sobeys Inc. family offers hands-on duties in the meat department, providing exceptional customer service, accurate wrapping, labeling and dating of meat products, and maintaining cleanliness and safety.

You will support inventory, merchandising, and occasionally train junior teammates. The position emphasizes flexible hours, physical stamina, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment across varying temperatures while ensuring quality and safety standards

Qualifications

• Customer service experience and friendly rapport with customers.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50lbs.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime, with the possibility of two-person lifts for heavier items.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Food Safety Protocols, SOPs, policies and Health and Safety standards.
• Provide customer service to meet customer needs.
• Wrap, package, label and date meat and poultry products accurately.
• Keep the work area clean and presentable.
• Handle, organize and rotate products per company standards.
• Record information in logs as required.
• Assist in merchandising and product presentation.
• Prepare meat products for service and support stock management.
• Support training of junior staff and help with inventory.
