Job summary

Sobeys Inc. is seeking an energetic Meat Production Clerk to handle direct customer interactions and prepare high-quality meat cuts. You will greet customers, assist with questions, and support the display and stocking of meat products in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities include following store procedures, operating power equipment, writing orders, receiving stock, and maintaining clean work areas. Prior meat-cutting knowledge is an asset and teamwork is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Retail Meat Cutting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of various cuts of meat is an asset.
• Ability to learn quickly.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly motivated and team oriented.

Responsibilities

• Upholds and complies with company procedures, standards and policies in all situations.
• Greets customers in a polite and friendly manner.
• Demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with company's programs.
• Cut and prepare meat products for display using knives and saws.
• Stocking various meat products to shelves.
• Maintaining and building merchandise displays in compliance with company programs.
• Use of commercial power equipment.
• Order writing.
• Receiving and rotating product.
• Filling product showcases.
• Cleaning and sanitizing of work area.
