Job summary

Central Saskatchewan Co-op is hiring a Full-Time Meat Cutter for our Meat department at our Food Store in Lanigan, SK. You will deliver exceptional service, manage meat handling, and ensure food safety compliance in a fast-paced environment.

We are seeking individuals with Grade 12 education and 1-3 years of meat experience, who can work days, evenings, holidays and weekends, and who can lift 50 lbs as needed to support team goals.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education.
• 1-3 years of relevant meat experience.
• Willing to work all shifts including days, evenings, holidays and weekends.
• Physically able to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders and kneel.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional service to make guests feel at home.
• Order, receive, inspect, store, and prepare meats and seafood to standard.
• Maintain compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
• Provide information and assistance to customers with outstanding service.

What you’ll do:

You will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to make all guests of our Co-op feel “at home here." This will be achieved by:

• Effective ordering, receiving, inspections, storage, and preparation and handling of meats and/or fish and seafood and supplies.
• Maintaining and ensure compliance with Central Saskatchewan Co-op standards and government food and sanitation health and safety standards.
• General housekeeping duties to ensure all areas of responsibility are safe, organized, and clean, including sharpening equipment and monitoring refrigeration temperature within all food safety standards and guidelines.
• Be responsible for providing information, assistance, and exceptional customer service to all customers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

You are interested in a career in the Meat Department and:

• Have a grade 12 education.
• Have 1-3 years of relevant meat experience (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
