Job summary

The RAI (Resident Assessment Instrument) Coordinator at AgeCare is responsible for the overall administration, organization, education, co-ordination, and implementation of the MDS for the interdisciplinary team. Provides supervision and assistance to the interdisciplinary team regarding MDS documentation.

RN or RPN in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario, with a minimum of three years in Long Term Care, is required. Salary range CAD 69,000–71,000 per year.

Qualifications

• A sound knowledge and background in Long Term Care.
• A sound knowledge of the Long-Term Care Act and Program Standards.
• Minimum of three years clinical, project leadership or managerial experience in Long Term Care.
• Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) - current member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.

Responsibilities

• Provide RAI MDS education and training to the interdisciplinary team using a train-the-trainer model.
• Monitor and provide on-site support to all MDS users in the residence.
• Develop and maintain an up-to-date resident assessment schedule and ensure timely MDS assessments.
• Assist MDS users in coding assessments and provide materials and support to ensure accuracy.
