Job summary

William Osler Health System is seeking a Medical Device Reprocessing Technician to support sterile processing across Osler sites. Responsibilities include sterilization, instrument reprocessing, and assisting clinical teams during procedures. The role requires provincial MDRD experience and strong attention to detail.

The position is evenings/nights with weekend coverage, and requires mobility between Osler sites. English fluency, computer basics, and a solid attendance record are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum grade 12 or equivalent.
• Successful completion of community college sterile supply processing certificate required.
• Minimum of two years previous experience in a MDRD role required.
• CSAO membership an asset.
• Must be able to speak, read and write English fluently.
• General knowledge of computers required.
• Excellent attendance, punctuality and work record.

Responsibilities

• Apply principles of sterile technique and clean procedures in daily activities.
• Knowledge of the cleaning and sterilizing of endoscopes.
• Assist clinical team during procedures where appropriate.
• Responsible for the cleaning and reprocessing of instrumentation.
• Operating sterilizers, washers, pasteurizer and other MDRD equipment.
• Monitor supplies, replace stock, case picking, keeping work area tidy.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Accountabilities:

• Apply principles of sterile technique and clean procedures in daily activities
• Knowledge of the cleaning and sterilizing of endoscopes
• Assist clinical team during procedures where appropriate
• Responsible for the cleaning and reprocessing of instrumentation
• Operating sterilizers, washers, pasteurizer and other Medical Device Reprocessing Department (MDRD) equipment
• Monitor supplies, replace stock, case picking, keeping work area tidy
• other duties as assigned

Salary

Minimum: $30.10 per hour

Maximum: $30.81 per hour
