Job summary

KTCEA invites applications for a full-time teaching role focused on delivering classroom instruction aligned with Alberta Education standards. The position emphasizes knowledge of First Nations culture and community engagement, with Cree language fluency considered an asset.

The successful candidate will hold an Alberta Teaching Certificate and bring strong communication, organizational, and networking skills to support student achievement and community partnerships.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education from a recognized university, with prior teaching experience an asset.
  • Current Alberta Teaching Certificate.
  • Fluency in Cree an asset.
  • Knowledge of First Nations culture, organizations, and communities.
  • Ability to meet Alberta Education’s Teacher Quality Standard.
  • Knowledge of course materials to be taught.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Experience in a land-based education environment an asset.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent public relations and networking skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other applications required by the role.

  • Plan and deliver classroom-based instruction in alignment with Alberta Education and KTCEA requirements.
