Job summary

Northland School Division invites applications for a Full-Time Elementary Teacher at Father R. Perin School. The position begins August 31, 2026, in Janvier, Alberta.

The successful candidate will deliver the prescribed elementary program, plan lessons, provide timely feedback, and promote Cree language and culture infusion. Qualifications include Alberta teaching certification and a Bachelor of Education, with demonstrated experience in rural or Indigenous communities.

Qualifications

• Must hold or qualify for Alberta teaching certification and a Teaching Quality Standard certificate.
• Must hold a Bachelor of Education (BEd.) degree.
• Successful years of teaching experience in rural and/or Indigenous communities.

Northland School Division is seeking an Elementary Teacher at Father R. Perin School. The start date of this position will be August 31st, 2026. The kindergarten to grade 9 school is located in the community of Janvier, Alberta. Janvier is situated approximately 120 kilometers from Fort McMurray, Alberta. The successful candidate will be eligible to receive the Fort McMurray Allowance.
