Job summary

Enoch Cree Nation’s Kitaskinaw Education Authority seeks a Classroom Teacher to deliver high-quality educational programming that supports students’ academic, cultural, and personal development. You will create a safe, respectful, and engaging learning environment while honouring Cree identity, language, and ways of knowing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Education or equivalent.
  • Valid Alberta Interim or Permanent Professional Teaching Certificate.
  • Criminal Record Check with Vulnerability Sector and Child Welfare checks.
  • Experience teaching in K–12 education settings.
  • Experience with Indigenous students and Cree-based learning.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality educational programming aligned with Alberta standards and KEA- TQS.
  • Create safe, respectful, and engaging learning environments that support student success.
  • Collaborate with families, Elders, and community members to support learning.
  • Integrate Cree cultural teachings, language, and community values into instruction.
  • Incorporate land-based learning experiences into the curriculum.
