Job description

WHISTLER SECONDARY - A COMMUNITY SCHOOL

The successful candidate must:

  • possess relevant university training, or its equivalent in the subject areas;
  • possess relevant, successful experience teaching Middle School (Grades 8 or 9);
  • possess relevant, successful experience teaching Math & Science (Grades 8 to 10) at the secondary level;
  • knowledge and experience in collaborating to co-plan, co-teach and co-assess inclusive learning environments where all students are connected, supported, engaged and challenged;
  • be familiar with the BC Student Performance Standards;
  • have a solid understanding and knowledge of the new Ministry curriculum and competencies.

Assignment involves teaching Math and Science Grades 8 to 10, Middle School.

Salary range: $63,670 per year to $116,190 per year, based on category as assigned by the Teachers Qualification Service (TQS) and previous teaching experience.
