Job summary

Maple Leaf Foods is seeking a Material Supply Coordinator in Canada to requisition and monitor packaging, ingredients, and plant supplies to meet production needs. You will coordinate production planning, set up vendors in SAP, and prepare weekly schedules to optimize equipment and labour use.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in a relevant field.
• 3–5 years experience in materials inventory, planning, and purchasing within a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of SAP.
• Excellent time management, multi-tasking and communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to interact with all levels of management.
• Attention to detail with a strong customer service focus.
• Advanced computer skills in MS Office.
• CPIM or CPP certification is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Monitor materials, supplies, and ingredients to ensure availability to meet production demands.
• Prepare weekly production schedules that meet customer requirements and utilize equipment and labour efficiently.
• Coordinate with Shipping Department for shipments and export documents.
• Lead the inventory count process and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain SAP master data and vendor relationships.
• Drive process improvements within Material Control dry goods areas.
• Ensure FSQA policies, including allergen sequencing, are followed.
