ProAmpac is seeking a Materials and Logistics Supervisor to ensure the right materials move smoothly from receiving to production and delivery. You will lead a team, manage inventories, and coordinate shipments to support on-time production.

Formación

• 3–5 years of leadership experience in materials management, inventory control, logistics, transportation, warehouse operations, or manufacturing.
• Experience coordinating domestic, cross-border, and international shipments.
• Working knowledge of freight carriers, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and transportation processes.
• Familiarity with import/export documentation and customs requirements.
• Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems and production material planning.
• Experience managing inventory and supporting cycle-count programs.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, organizational, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise and support warehouse employees while promoting safety, integrity, accountability, and teamwork.
• Oversee the flow of raw materials, components, work-in-process, and finished goods throughout the facility.
• Ensure materials, components, and supplies are available to meet production schedules and customer demands.
• Partner with Production Planning and Purchasing to maintain appropriate inventory levels and prevent material shortages.
• Review MRP/ERP requirements and address shortages, excess inventory, and changing production needs.
• Coordinate material staging and delivery to production lines, ensuring materials and revisions are available when needed.
• Monitor material usage, investigate inventory variances, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage daily shipping and transportation activities across local, regional, national, cross-border, and international routes.
• Schedule carrier pickups and deliveries to meet production schedules, customer commitments, and shipping deadlines.
• Obtain freight quotes and coordinate cost-effective transportation solutions.
• Collaborate with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, suppliers, and customers to ensure smooth transport and customs clearance.
• Verify shipment and customs documentation for accuracy.
• Track shipments from pickup through delivery and resolve delays, issues, and discrepancies.
• Investigate freight claims and delivery issues, working with partners to reach timely resolutions.
• Work with Production, Purchasing, Planning, Quality, and Shipping to align material availability with priorities.
• Communicate proactively with internal teams and external partners to resolve issues and maintain reliable delivery.
• Balance competing priorities while identifying opportunities to improve processes and control costs.
