Job summary

Alstar Group of Companies Ltd. in Calgary is seeking a Materials Labourer to support warehousing, receiving, storage and distribution operations at the Calgary Shop (8700 Venture Ave SE). This day shift runs Monday to Friday and offers hands-on work in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have experience with packing lists, P.O. processing, and basic Excel tools; ability to lift 50 lbs; forklift certification is a plus. Join a team with growth opportunities and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehousing, material handling and distribution.
• Knowledge of flanges, fittings and valves is an asset.
• Experience with packing lists and purchase orders (P.O.'s).
• Knowledge of the OS&D process is an asset.
• MS Excel or Google Sheets experience is an asset.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Valid forklift ticket is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Unloading inbound freight carriers, ensuring accurate counts and product identification, and locating the product in the storage location.
• Examining articles for accuracy and discrepancy; flagging according to company policies.
• Checking material received against the packing slip provided by the vendor.
• Labeling and marking valves, fittings, and pipe (receive & reject).
• Prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Safely maneuvering forklifts in confined spaces.

We are looking for a Materials Labourer to work out of our Calgary Shop location (8700 Venture Ave SE).

This position is days, Monday-Friday.
