Job summary

Alstar Oilfield Contractors Ltd. is seeking a physically demanding rigging/loading professional to join our Alberta operations. You will work in a large manufacturing facility and yard, performing complex tasks and operating small equipment while following strict safety protocols.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in trailer loading and rigging, a Grade 12 or GED, and a valid driver’s license. CSO/Forklift tickets are valued; strong communication and safety records are essential.

Qualifications

• Over 3 years of experience loading trailers.
• Over 3 years of hands-on rigging in industrial or construction settings.
• Minimum Grade 12 or GED.
• Valid Driver’s License with a current 5-Year Driver’s Abstract.
• Experience completing Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs).
• Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting/handling procedures.
• CSO Ticket is an asset; Forklift ticket is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Physically demanding role reporting to the assigned foreman.
• Work in a large manufacturing facility and yard in varying indoor/outdoor conditions.
• Perform complex tasks and operate small equipment.
• Complete pre-use inspections of lifting gear.
• Choose the appropriate rigging hardware and hitches.
• Safely lift steel, pipes, and structural material.

What We’re Looking For From You

• Over 3 years of experience loading trailers required
• Over 3 years of hands-on rigging experience in industrial or construction settings
• Minimum Grade 12 or GED

• Previous experience completing Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs)
• Good knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting/handling procedures
• Zoom Boom or Forklift ticket is an asset (not required)
• CSO Ticket
• Physically fit and agile: ability to lift up to 60 lbs, work at heights, and ascend/descend ladders
• Excellent communication, verbal, and listening skills with strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions
• Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Proven safety attitude and excellent attendance history
