Job summary

Imperial is seeking a Materials Integrity Engineer to lead the materials/integrity program at the Kearl Oilsands Asset. The role requires coordinating with Operations, Maintenance, and Planning to improve safety, environmental performance, reliability and profitability.

Qualified candidates will have a Mechanical or Materials Engineering degree with P.Eng and 5–10 years of relevant experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, or Oil Sands. Edmonton site with occasional travel.]

Qualifications

  • Mechanical or Materials Engineering degree with P.Eng designation.
  • 5–10 years of experience in oil and gas or related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the materials/integrity program for the area (piping, tanks, vessels).
  • Manage corrosion control programs; update equipment strategies.
  • Review current and future technologies; assess viability with SMEs.
  • Develop and optimize inspection plans; coordinate with contractors.
  • Support spend planning, outages, and preparations for shutdowns.
