Your Contribution

As a Materials Testing and Field Inspection Technician, you will collaborate with the Materials Team.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Applying and promoting Englobe’s health and safety standards;
  • Conducting field inspections during soil and aggregate placement, including reviewing import materials, equipment, construction sequencing, and daily conditions;
  • Performing field compaction tests on soils and aggregates according to relevant standards;
  • Receiving and accurately recording all field samples;
  • Effectively communicating results with onsite personnel and supervisors;
  • Reviewing construction drawings and referencing them appropriately;
  • Maintaining detailed records of testing and preparing daily test summaries.

Your Profile

  • Experience in construction or soil and aggregate testing is an asset;
  • Ability to handle samples weighing up to 20kg regularly;
  • Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s License in good standing and comfortable operating a truck;
  • Interest in occupational health and safety;
  • Team-oriented with strong communication skills;
  • Willingness to work long, irregular hours, including weekends and holidays.
