Job summary

Prairie Mountain Health is seeking an inventory clerk to manage orders, receipts, and deliveries of supplies to departments across PMH facilities. You will coordinate requisitions for Laundry and Courier deliveries, and ensure proper documentation for back orders and damaged goods.

The role requires a Manitoba Grade 12 education, a valid Class 5 license, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and IT tools. You will work independently and maintain confidentiality within a diverse team.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 education (MB Standards).
  • One year equivalent full time experience with inventory management systems within the last 3 years.
  • Province of Manitoba Class 5 Drivers Licence, or equivalent from province of residence, and access to a personal vehicle to provide service within Prairie Mountain Health.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint), as well as Internet applications and other Information Technology
  • Understanding of inventory management processes, including stock rotations
  • Demonstrated organizational skills, and the ability to work independently
  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills
  • Demonstrated flexibility to facilitate changes in techniques and procedures in a changing environment
  • Demonstrated knowledge and competence of skills and concepts related to the position
  • Demonstrated communication skills
  • Ability to respect and promote confidentiality
  • Ability to perform the duties of the position on a regular basis
  • Ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population
  • Ability to work effectively and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, clients and within interdisciplinary team

Responsibilities

  • Orders, receives and deliver supplies to departments within PMH facilities as required, as well fills requisitions for delivery of supplies via Laundry Truck or Courier Truck to various external facilities with the Prairie Mountain Health Region.
  • Properly completes documentation and authorizations from vendors surrounding back orders, short shipments, damaged goods and equipment repairs
  • Responsible for the timely delivery and collection of all Laundry linens throughout identified sites according to the predetermined schedules.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Area Manager Materiels, the incumbent performs functions designed to facilitate the receipt and delivery of goods to departments within Prairie Mountain Health.
