Job summary

Richardson International in Portage la Prairie, MB, invites applications for a Material Handling Operator. Reporting to the Elevator Manager, you will assist with binning, cleaning, drying, blending, and storing product, prepare railway cars or trucks, and operate systems to transfer and load product.

Candidates should have Grade 12 or equivalent, be self-directed with strong interpersonal skills, and be able to work rotating shifts, including overtime on weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have a Grade 12 education or equivalent.
• Must be self-directed with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Able to work a rotating shift and overtime on weekends.
• Forklift experience is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist with binning, cleaning, drying, blending, and storing of product within the facility.
• Prepare railway cars and/or trucks, including weighing and identifying product for shipment.
• Operate systems to transfer and load product into railcars and/or trucks, including cleaning and sealing trucks and/or rail cars.
• Assist with sampling and testing; perform routine maintenance on material handling systems and complete related documents.
