Job summary

Gillfor Distribution recherche des opérateurs de chariot élévateur/matériau saisonniers pour son centre de distribution à Calgary. Vous serez responsable du chargement, déchargement, et de l'organisation de l'inventaire, tout en travaillant en équipe. Ce poste saisonnier, de juin à septembre, exige une fiabilité et une capacité de travail en extérieur.

Qualifications

• Diplôme de l'école secondaire requis.
• Expérience de chariot élévateur est un atout.
• Capacité de soulever jusqu'à 80 livres si nécessaire.

Responsibilities

• Charger et décharger des matériaux de construction en toute sécurité.
• Assister au chargement des commandes sur les camions des clients.
• Maintenir un yard de bois propre et organisé.

Job description

Gillfor Distribution has an opening for Seasonal Material Handler/Forklift Operators at our Calgary location. As part of our Lumber Yard team at our Calgary Distribution Centre, you will work in a team environment reporting directly to our Yard Supervisor. You will be responsible for efficiently and accurately assembling customer orders and some loading of customer trucks. This is a seasonal position from June to September.

Expectations:

1. Loading and unloading building materials safely and efficiently, depending on experience
2. Assisting in loading orders onto customer trucks
3. Conducting periodic inventory counts (quarterly) and spot checks
4. Maintaining a tidy and organized lumber yard
5. Adhering to all work safety rules and regulations
6. Politeness towards customers and truck drivers during pickups and drop-offs

Ideal Attributes:

1. High School Diploma
2. Forklift experience is an asset
3. Ability to lift up to 80 pounds if necessary
4. Knowledge of the building materials industry is an asset
5. Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
6. Flexibility with start and finish times
7. Reliable and punctual
8. Self-motivated and able to work independently
