Job summary

Patriot Forge Corporation in Canada is seeking a material handler to ensure raw materials are received, identified, and moved between plants. You will verify packing slips, record materials, and support 5S housekeeping across material areas.

Responsibilities include loading shipments, measuring and calculating quantities, completing receiving reports, and complying with safety policies while maintaining efficient inventory flow in a forging operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or 2 years experience in a similar position.
• Familiarity with material handling equipment (overhead cranes and forklifts) and safe handling of large objects.
• Previous experience working with steel is an asset.
• Demonstrated strong organizational, planning, coordination, and priority-setting skills.
• Good command of the English language both written and verbal.
• Ability to work with little supervision.

• Receive material from steel mills and verify packing slips
• Receive Recog
• Mark/identify material
• Grind and condition stock as required
• Conduct Measurements and mathematical calculations
• Complete material receiving reports
• Load Patriot Forge truck for shipment of materials between plants
• Move raw materials within plant
• Conduct Product Material Identification test with PMI gun
• Maintain general housekeeping standards in material areas (5S)
• Comply with company policies and procedures
• Perform additional responsibilities as required and appointed by management
