Job summary

Lactalis Canada in Winchester, Ontario, is seeking a Material Handler to join the cheese department in our production facility. The role involves assisting in organizing, cleaning, and operating on manufacturing/assembly lines within a team environment.

The position requires adherence to OHSA, GMPs, health and safety, and food safety standards, with duties across shipping/receiving and various stations. Shift rotations cover days, afternoons, nights, and weekends.

Job description: Lactalis is one of Canada’s leading producers of premium quality food products including milk, cheese, and yogurt. We are currently recruiting for a Material Handler to join our cheese department in our production facility in Winchester, Ontario which produces butter, cheese, powder, and margarine.

The ideal candidate will be part of a team working as a General Labourer to assist in different areas of the plant that involve organizing, cleaning, and working on manufacturing/assembly lines.

• Cleaning and organizing areas within the plant as required
• Fulfilling duties assigned in compliance with OHSA
• Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMPs, Health & Safety, Food Safety & Environmental Standards
• Supporting shipping and receiving operations as needed
• Working on manufacturing/assembly lines in different stations as required

***Shift: 8-hour rotating shifts - need to be available to work all 3 shifts
