Walters Group in Princeton, Ontario, is seeking a Material Handler to support outdoor operations and the movement of materials between yards and plants. Reporting to the Team Leader, you will operate tow motors, forklifts, and cranes, ensure accurate paperwork, and maintain Walters' high safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Efficient and accurate movement of materials in and outside of plants.
• Rig, hoist and move materials to and from Walters yards.
• Assist in movement of material in plant/property using heavy tow motors, cranes, forklifts, etc.
• Ensure safe work practices are adhered to.
• Load planning and building.
• Load and unload trailers to Walters standards.
• Ensure tools and equipment are operated with care.
• Accurately fill out all required paperwork and keep records up to date.
• Perform housekeeping tasks as assigned.

About the Position:

Reporting to the Team Leader, the Material Handler will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Efficient and accurate movement of materials in and outside of plants.
• Rig, hoist and move materials to and from Walters yards.
• Assists in the movement of material in the plant/property by use of primarily heavy tow motor, crane, forklift, etc.
• Ensures safe work practices are adhered to.
• Load planning and building.
• Loads and unloads trailers, as required, to Walters Standards.
• Ensures all tools and equipment are operated with care.
• Accurately fills out all required paperwork and ensures records remain up to date.
• Performs housekeeping tasks as assigned.

Work Location:

• Princeton, ON.
• Working condition is primarily outdoors.

Position Requirements:

• Previous experience operating large tow motors, all terrain forklifts, and overhead cranes.
• Previous experience organizing shipping documents.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Able to work independently.
• Knowledge of health and safety policies and procedures.

Compensation Package:

• Wage: $22.00-$29.00/Hour
