EB Horsman & Son in Surrey, BC is seeking a Material Handler/Customer Service - Counter Sales to join our full-time permanent team. You’ll be the primary contact for branch customers, interpret needs, troubleshoot issues, ensure accurate orders, and recommend products.

• High school completion.
• 3+ years of customer service experience is an asset.

• Proficiency in MS Office and ability to learn new software.
• Basic mathematical skills.

Why this role matters

The Material Handler/Customer Service - Counter Sales acts as the primary point of contact for incoming branch customers. They will be responsible for providing excellent customer service by interpreting customer needs, troubleshooting issues, ensuring order accuracy, and recommending products and solutions.

What To Expect In The Role

• Attention to detail. You will be required to work in the warehouse reviewingstock, assembling orders and shipping/receiving.
• Customer service orientated. Providing excellent customer service is key forthis role as it will require maintaining and building customer relationsthrough product quotations and sales.
• Multi-task individual. This role will require you to juggle through a numberof client request and being able to meet competing timelines.
• Communicator. Communication is essential for this role, both verbally andwritten with our customers and while working with your colleagues.
• Highly organized. Being organized is key due to the high volume of customerrequests that will require you to adjust and work through interruptions.
• Comfortable with technology. This role requires using the phone and computerto assist customer and using our internal systems.
• Warehouse Responsibilities: Duties will include order assembly, packing &shipping, receiving, stock keeping, warehouse maintenance, and customer/salessupport, including operating equipment, managing inventory, processingshipments, and assisting with priority orders and customer inquiries.

Ideal candidate profile

• High school completion

• Intermediate computer skills with proficiency in MS Office & the ability to learn new software programs
