Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with clean abstract.
• Able to perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• Basic computer skills and materials documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operates equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, handtrucks or dollies to move or reorganize storage.
• Pulls orders from inventory, delivers materials to production, and stages finished product for distribution.
• Locates materials per production schedule and maintains stock area organization.
• Maintains safe, orderly storage and conducts bin/dunnage audits.
• Supports packaging, shipping procedures and equipment maintenance as needed.
• Adheres to Health and Safety, Environmental, Quality, HR policies, and handbook.

Location: Windsor, ON
Cannon Automotive, a division of Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping has an immediate opportunity for a Material Handler in our Windsor, Ontario Stamping Facility. The Material Handler is responsible for moving materials throughout the facility. The ideal candidate will have prior Material Handling experience, be self-motivated and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summary of Responsibilities

• Operates equipment including but not limited to forklifts, pallet jacks, handtrucksor dolliesrequiredto move or reorganize storage.
• Ensures orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplieswhere needed, and staging finished product for final distribution
• Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production schedule
• Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area
• Emptying scrap hoppers
• Bin audits (dunnage audits). Verify that bins are in safe working conditions before use.
• Retain knowledge of proper packaging and shipping procedures so materials are shipped safely
• Maintain equipment by regularly cleaning and inspecting it, repairs reported as needed
• Other duties as assigned by the management team
• Abide by all Company policies including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Environmental, Quality, Human Resources policies, and the Employee Handbook

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid driver's licence and clean driver's abstract
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment performing repetitive tasks
• Ability to find information, document relevant information, and knowledge of computers
• Ability to retain information and communicate effectively
• Ability to lift up to 23kg (50lbs)

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid forklift and overhead crane certificates are an asset
• 1-3 years’ experience in a production environment

The pay range for this role is $20.00/hour to $32.00/hour.
