Job summary

Armstrong Fluid Technology is seeking a Material Handler to support our production and distribution network. You will move and stock hardware materials and assist the logistics team to meet on-time delivery metrics.

The role requires 1–2 years in material handling, basic Excel skills, and strong communication. We value accuracy, teamwork, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • High-school education or equivalent.
  • 1–2 years of material handling/inventory control experience.
  • Preference for 1+ year in an industrial environment.
  • Basic Excel formulas for addition/subtraction.
  • Strong English communication.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail and urgency in a time-sensitive setting.
  • Data entry proficiency and computer-savvy.

Responsibilities

  • Move and stock hardware material to and from production departments.
  • Relay information to the Manager, Materials & Logistics or Team Lead.
  • Receiving and order-picking as required.
  • Overseeing and maintaining parts, materials, and equipment while moving through warehouse areas.
  • Performing data-entry transactions using an MRP software and hand-scanner.
  • Data entry of basic arithmetic in Microsoft Excel or similar program.
  • Adhering to all health and safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • All other duties as may be assigned.

The Material Handler plays a pivotal role within our logistics team whose responsibility is to supply the production teams with key materials required for our global manufacturing and distribution efforts. This position is crucial for enhancing and maintaining our production cycle, thereby meeting our customer satisfaction needs and on-time-delivery metrics. The primary duties for this position is moving and stocking hardware material within the warehouse.

In addition to annual initiatives, the key responsibilities are as follows:

Key Accountabilities
  • Moving and stocking hardware material to and from various production departments
  • Regularly relaying information to the Manager, Materials & Logistics or other Team Lead
  • Receiving, and order-picking as required
  • Overseeing and maintaining parts, materials, and other equipment while moving throughout warehouse areas
  • Performing receiving and order-picking data-entry transactions, using a Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) software and hand-scanner
  • Data entry of basic addition and subtraction calculations in Microsoft Excel or similar program
  • Adhering to all health and safety policies, procedures, and regulations
  • All other duties as may be assigned
What We’re Looking For

  • High-school education, or equivalent
  • 1-2 years’ experience in material handling and/or inventory control
  • Minimum 1-year experience working in an industrial environment preferred
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Excel formulas for addition and subtraction
  • Great verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to work well independently while part of a team
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong work ethic and a sense of urgency working in a time-sensitive environment
  • Computer-savvy and experience with data entry
  • Ability to communicate authentically in all interactions
