Job summary

Armstrong Fluid Technology is seeking a role focused on coordinating the manufacturing of commercial pump products, ensuring adherence to build processes, SOPs, and safety guidelines. You will drive efficiency, support production plans, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to meet quality standards.

You will lead a team, train staff, monitor equipment and processes, and collaborate across departments to optimize throughput while maintaining a safe, compliant workplace.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-years’ pump manufacturing experience desired.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment with safety and lean culture.
  • Reading work orders and technical documents.
  • Grade 12 high school or equivalent.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with common software.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and coordinates effective use of pump manufacturing equipment, tools and personnel.
  • Coordinates equipment maintenance to prevent issues.
  • Trains employees on pump manufacturing and quality build procedures.
  • Supports production plans and achieves goals within timelines.

In this role, you will lead by coordinating the manufacturing of the company’s commercial pump products in accordance with build processes and procedures. You will have the opportunity to support the execution of production plans and achieving production goals within established timelines. A successful candidate will drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring adherence to our high-quality standards and following all safety and company guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversees and coordinates the effective and efficient use of all pump manufacturing equipment, tools, and personnel.
  • Oversees and coordinates equipment maintenance and repairs to prevent
  • Train employees how to manufacture pumps and make recommendations for further training.
  • Train Employees to build quality pumps as per the build procedures, SOPs and in a timely manner to support the company’s effectivity, efficiency, and utilization goals
  • Participate and enforce all Health and Safety Procedures and Policies.
  • Make recommendations, participate, and lead in continuous Improvement projects
  • Make recommendations on staffing, disciplinary actions, and employee achievements
  • Empower and engage employees to create a teamwork environment so they can be successful.
What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should bring:

  • Minimum 3-years’ Pump Manufacturing experience is desired
  • Use of computers software, including excel and windows explorer
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment where safety and lean culture is practiced and implemented.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment particularly in reading work orders and technical d
  • Grade 12 high school or equivalent
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity is
  • Familiar with quality control and assurance practices such as being able to complete inspection check sheets and raise non-conformance tickets.
  • Previous experience in factories that have ISO9001 accreditation is
  • Ability to break down complex problems in a simplified way, conduct root cause analysis and provide clear, well-thought-out
  • Strong, team-oriented leadership skills with presence and a bias for
  • Self-directed with ability to work autonomously and collaboratively and a focus on
  • Ability to communicate in an open and authentic manner in all situations
