General Labourer - Morning Shift

Armstrong Fluid Technology is seeking a General Labourer for our Scarborough manufacturing facility. You will assist with assembling crates for pumps and motors and prepping shipments, with hours 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday through Friday and potential overtime.

Responsibilities include operating compressors and small power tools, fastening parts, maintaining a safe workspace, following the handbook, supporting production by removing waste, and assisting operators.

Qualifikationen

• Knowledge of standard measuring equipment (tape measures etc.).
• Ability to read specific work instructions for a made-to-order product.
• Able to stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience with overhead and jib cranes and material handling equipment.
• Sense of urgency and ability to work in a time-sensitive environment.
• Team-oriented, adaptable, and able to work independently.

• Support the production by removing waste as a daily routine.
• Assist machine operators, assemblers and other workers.
• Mark, record, and report defects.
• Clean work areas and equipment.
• Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
• All other duties as may be assigned

The General laboureris responsible for performing various tasks to aid daily operations at our industrial manufacturing facility. The primary duties include assembling and building crates for our assembled pumps and motors and prepare for outbound shipping. Other duties may include loading and unloading tools or raw materials and assembling scaffolding or other pieces of equipment.

This position is located in Scarborough, Ontario from 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday through Friday, with potential overtime and weekend availability, as requested.

What We're Looking For:

To thrive in this role, you should bring:

• Knowledge of standard measuring equipment (tape measures etc.).
• Skill in reading specific work instructions for a made-to-order product.
• The ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Capability to perform repetitive lifting/bending/stretching in a hot/humid/dusty environment.
• Previous hands-on experience in using overhead and jib cranes as well as typical material handling equipment (e.g., pallet trucks).
• Sense of urgency and capable of working in a time-sensitive environment
• Team-oriented perspective, adaptability, and the capability of working independently

Range: CAD$18.50 - CAD$20.00
