Job summary

Archway Marketing Services is looking for a full-time warehouse team member in Mississauga. Responsibilities include the safe operation of equipment, movement of products, and accurate picking and packing of shipments.

Qualified candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and previous warehouse experience. Forklift experience is preferred. The role also offers health, dental, and vision benefits, along with generous paid time off.

  • Physical requirements include lifting, carrying, and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate power-operated equipment.
  • Pick and pack items for shipment.
  • Load and unload trucks safely.
  • Update Warehouse Management System with transactions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Job description

Type: Full-Time

Pay Rate: $22.44

Shift: 8:00am to 4:30pm

Key Responsibilities
  • Safe and efficient operation of all power-operated equipment that requires certification
  • Safe and efficient movement of Product. (Including loading and unloading trucks)
  • Accurately pick and pack items for shipment potentially with a forklift
  • Label and prepare items for shipment
  • Work with Inventory Control on correct product placement
  • Complete required paperwork and project time-tracking documentation
  • Maintain warehouse order to ensure pallet locations are kept available for incoming items
  • Ensure all items not required short term are restocked according to established procedures
  • Update Warehouse Management System with the transaction
  • Performs daily safety checklist and standard battery charging procedure
  • Assist with contacting freight couriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries
  • Assist in cycle counting and periodic inventories
  • Assist team members in meeting and exceeding customer expectations
  • Update supervisor and team lead on issues or concerns
  • Participate in process Improvement by communicating to supervisor and/or team lead
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Support and maintain corporate quality, health and safety standards, processes, policies, practices and work instructions. (ISO standards where applicable)
  • All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Previous warehouse/manufacturing experience required
  • Forklift experience preferred
  • Current forklift certification and/or ability to become certified within a 30-day period required
  • Basic math and reading skills
  • Must be able to read and understand written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to pay attention to detail to ensure accuracy
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds solo and greater weights in a team-lift environment
  • Physical requirements include: lifting, carrying, bending, stretching, and standing for long periods of time, ability to handle heights
