Job summary

The Warehouse Associate I position at DGI Supply Canada is responsible for a combination of manual and automated tasks for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product, including picking, packing and staging. Qualifications

  • 1+ years’ experience preferred but not required.
  • Effective written/oral communication and customer service skills.

  • Solid math skills.
  • Self-motivated and team oriented with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Basic data entry using ERP systems; MS Office experience a plus.
  • Passionate, adaptable, customer focused and teamwork oriented.
  • Strong sense of urgency and accountability.
  • Valid driver’s license preferred.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for the shift.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately picks products for orders by matching product numbers and quantities with pick tickets.
  • Validate that correct product has been selected and is damage free.
  • Submit picked orders to shipping.
  • Receive goods and verify quality and count; report discrepancies.
  • Accurately perform product repackaging of orders daily.
  • Stock inbound product in correct bin locations.
  • Demonstrate basic material handling and warehouse equipment skills.
  • Help load and unload product on DGI vehicles.
  • Count, compare, and inspect quantities to support fulfillment and distribution.
  • Perform basic sanitation to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Observe safety policies including dress code and Steel Toed Shoes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Reports to the Warehouse Manager.

Summary

The Warehouse Associate I is responsible for performing a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product, including functions of picking, packing and staging.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Accurately picks products for orders by matching product numbers and quantities with pick tickets
  • Validate that correct product has been selected and is damage free
  • Submits picked orders to shipping
  • Receives goods and verifies the quality and count of all items unloaded from trucks and trailers; checks against suppliers’ count and immediately reports discrepancies to supervisor
  • Accurately performs product repackaging of orders daily
  • Supports receiving function by accurately stocking the inbound product in the correct bin locations
  • Demonstrates basic material handling / packaging / warehouse equipment skills
  • Helps load and unload product properly on DGI vehicles
  • Count, compare, check and inspect quantities of materials and product in support of the order fulfillment and distribution of company goods in the warehouse
  • Perform basic sanitation duties to maintain a clean and safe environment, clear aisles of debris
  • Observe all safety policies and procedures including the dress code and wears Steel Toed Shoes at all times
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Reports to the Warehouse Manager
Skills and Experience Required
  • Compensation Range: $41,600 - $45,760
  • 1+ years’ experience preferred but not required
  • Demonstrates effective written/oral communication and customer service skills
  • Individual must be detail oriented and accurate
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced distribution environment while meeting established distribution metrics and standards
  • Solid math skills
  • Must be self‑motivated and able to work in a team‑oriented environment with an emphasis on total customer satisfaction
  • Basic data entry using ERP systems; MS Office experience a plus
  • Passionate, Adaptable, Customer Focused and Teamwork oriented
  • Strong sense of urgency and accountability
  • Valid Driver’s License preferred
  • Must have the ability to lift various products weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Able to bend, pull, lift and stand throughout the duration of scheduled shift
