Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse/manufacturing experience is essential.
  • Current forklift certification or ability to certify within 30 days.

Job description

Type: Full-Time
Pay Rate: $22 per hour + Heavy lifting premium
Shift: 8:00am to 4:30pm EST
Location: Toronto, 2450 Stanfield Rd, Unit C

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safe and efficient operation of all power-operated equipment that requires certification
  • Safe and efficient movement of Product (Including loading and unloading trucks)
  • Accurately pick and pack items for shipment potentially with a forklift
  • Label and prepare items for shipment
  • Work with Inventory Control on correct product placement
  • Complete required paperwork and project time-tracking documentation
  • Maintain warehouse order to ensure pallet locations are kept available for incoming items
  • Ensure all items not required short term are restocked according to established procedures
  • Update Warehouse Management System with the transaction
  • Perform daily safety checklist and standard battery charging procedure
  • Assist with contacting freight couriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries
  • Assist in cycle counting and periodic inventories
  • Assist team members in meeting and exceeding customer expectations
  • Update supervisor and team lead on issues or concerns
  • Participate in process improvement by communicating to supervisor and/or team lead
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Support and maintain corporate quality, health and safety standards, processes, policies, practices and work instructions (ISO standards where applicable)
  • All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Previous warehouse/manufacturing experience required
  • Forklift experience required
  • Current forklift certification and/or ability to become certified within a 30-day period required
  • Basic math and reading skills
  • Must be able to read and understand written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to pay attention to detail to ensure accuracy
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds solo and greater weights in a team-lift environment
  • Physical requirements include: lifting, carrying, bending, stretching, and standing for long periods of time, ability to handle heights
