Job summary

Linamar Corporation is seeking a Material Handler to operate forklifts and related equipment to move, load and unload materials within the manufacturing facility. This role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and accuracy in handling production materials.

The candidate should hold a valid forklift certificate and have 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, contributing to smooth production flow and accurate inventory movement.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or qualification.
  • Valid Forklift Certificate.
  • 1-2 years operation of counterbalance forklifts and other material handling equipment, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklifts to move materials, products and equipment throughout the manufacturing facility.
  • Load and unload trucks, trailers, and storage areas, ensuring that materials are handled with care.
  • Transport raw materials and packing to production lines and finishes goods to designated storage or shipping areas.
  • Empty scrap metal bins as required.
  • Ensure materials are properly stacked, secured and stored to prevent damage or accidents.
  • Entering shipping and receiving information into applicable computer software and programs as required.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations and other safety standards.

Academic/Educational Requirements
