Job summary

Home Hardware is seeking a Material Handler for our distribution centres in Canada. You will pick, pack, ship and receive merchandise to support Dealer stores nationwide. This role requires physical activity, ability to lift 50lbs, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Nights or weekends shifts available; term contract through October 2027 and onsite work at our St. Jacobs corporate office. Under supervision of the Shift Manager, you’ll learn to operate material handling equipment

Qualifications

As a Material Handler, you will be a key part of our distribution centres in ensuring the smooth distribution of products and materials to our Dealer stores across Canada. You will be picking, packing, shipping, and receiving merchandise so you will need to be able to perform strenuous physical activity throughout your shift. Led by the Shift Manager, this position will best suit someone who has strong attention to detail and can work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.

Shifts Available

Nights – Sunday to Thursday (11:00pm to 7:00am)

Weekends – Friday 7:00am to 7:00pm, Saturday 7:00am to 7:00pm, and Sunday 11:00am to 11:00pm

*Please note this is a term contract until October 2027

• All other duties as assigned by your Shift Manager or Supervisor.

• Ability to lift 50lbs on a frequent basis.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to bend and lift.
• Demonstrated high-quality accuracy and attention to detail.
• Commitment to good attendance and punctuality.
• A reliable team player with a great attitude.
• The ability to be onsite 5 days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, to accommodate the needs of the role.
