Aerotek is seeking a Material Handler to support shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing materials at our Cambridge, ON site. This full-time contract-to-hire role requires standing up to daily warehouse tasks and collaborating with production teams to ensure material readiness.

You will operate a counterbalance forklift and prepare kitting packages for assembly, contributing to smooth production flow.

Competenze

• 2+ years of experience in warehouse/material handling.

Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

The Material Handler performs a blend of physical and administrative tasks to support shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. This role ensures accurate handling of incoming and outgoing goods, maintains detailed inventory and shipping records, and supports manufacturing and assembly operations by stocking materials and preparing kitting packages.

Responsibilities

• Perform all activities related to shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing materials, parts, supplies, and equipment.

• Unpack incoming goods and verify them against purchase orders or invoices to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Inspect received items and reject or report unsatisfactory materials according to established procedures.

• Operate a forklift to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and production areas, as needed.

• Prepare merchandise for shipment, including packing, labeling, and staging orders for final dispatch.

• Post weights and shipping charges and accurately document shipment details in the appropriate systems or records.

• Maintain accurate records of all goods received and shipped to support inventory control and audit requirements.

• Examine, stock, and distribute materials in inventory locations and on manufacturing lines to ensure continuous production flow.

• Prepare kitting packages for assembly production, ensuring all required components are correctly picked and organized.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of experience as a warehouse associate or in material handling roles.

• Proficiency in operating a counterbalance forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.

Available Shifts

Straight Days, Monday-Friday from 5:30am-2:00pm and Straight Afternoons, Monday-Thursday from 2:30pm-1:00am

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cambridge, ON.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.50 - $27.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
