Job summary

Town of Oakville is seeking a part-time Leadership Instructor to deliver high quality aquatic leadership programs. Candidates must hold instructor certifications for leadership courses and current NL and Intermediate First Aid with CPR-C & AED, plus examiner status in their teaching stream by contract start.

The role offers flexible schedules, inclusive environment, and opportunities for in-person and virtual trainings.

Qualifications

• Leadership instructors must hold instructor certification(s) for indicated leadership courses.
• Must have current NL (National Lifeguard) and current Intermediate First Aid with CPR-C & AED.
• Candidates must hold an examiner status in their certified teaching stream by the start of the contract.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced leadership courses including National Lifeguard, Intermediate First Aid with CPR-C & AED, LSS Swim and Lifesaving Instructors, Aquatic Supervisor.
• Ensure safety, adapt to changing environments, and coordinate tasks and administration as needed.
