Job Description

The Global Accounting and Process Digitalization (GAPD) team is responsible for owning and improving the global operating model and managing shared service providers. The Global Business Process Optimization team, part of GAPD, aims to optimize the value flow along streamlined end-to-end financial processes worldwide.

The Global Master Data Management (MDM) Expert plays a crucial role in shaping, enforcing, and implementing master data management within supply chain process flows. This role involves improving MDM processes, managing data lifecycle and governance of the Chart of Account data domains, enhancing data quality, and supporting reporting and analytics needs, including the key DSC Finance program, “Reimagine Finance.”

The Global MDM CoA – Master Data Expert is an experienced specialist and consultant in MDM topics. The team facilitates knowledge sharing and best practices across regions, enabling the finance organization to focus on core tasks. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Leading the transformation of Chart of Account data from source systems to OneCloud to support the “Reimagine Finance” program.
  2. Collaborating with country and regional teams (OTC, RTR, PTP) to ensure consistent use of master data and a seamless ERP system transition to OneCloud.
  3. Working closely with process tower teams to integrate their functions into a consistent global MDM process and data model.
  4. Promoting cross-functional discussions to enable effective utilization of master data management.
  5. Developing and aligning MDM domains with countries, regions, and supply chain functions.

Required Education and Experience

  • Strong background in accounting, finance, or Oracle Financials.
  • Proven experience with relational databases and SQL.
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Visual Basic, or PL/SQL (desirable).
  • Experience with Oracle Financials, Oracle FDMEE, or other MDM tools like EBX.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation software.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and documentation skills.
  • Negotiation abilities.
  • Strategic, conceptual, and creative thinking with the ability to work independently and solve complex problems.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and technologies.
