Critical Mass in Toronto seeks a Marketing Science Lead to ensure robust cross-channel measurement and data-driven marketing insights. Job Description:

As a Marketing Science Lead, your curiosity never ends. You will be responsible for ensuring clean, robust measurement of cross-channel marketing activations. You have experience working with digital analytics tools.In this role, you will work with other Marketing Science team members as well as cross‑functional teams to support a variety of digital marketing measurement initiatives.Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, you identify, prioritize, and address clients’ business needs. You’re a rock star in sub‑disciplines of Marketing Science—tracking and measurement, data visualization, testing and evaluation, with a subject matter expertise in Data Architecture & Integration with a business first approach.

You will:
  • Work with data to solve business problems, building and maintaining the data architecture to answer business questions and Improve processes.
  • Build and mentor team of data engineers in scripting, automation, databases, system optimization, providing technical guidance and fostering career development.
  • Identify, design and implement Internal processes and frameworks for elimination of manual processes, optimizing data delivery, resolving data pipeline bottlenecks and evolving data architecture capabilities.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand their data requirements and support their data infrastructure needs.
  • Ensuring data consistency and accuracy is maintained within the data warehouse by identifying data quality issues and recommending solutions to handle root causes.
  • Ensure Data Lineage is maintained and support Data Governance workstream in data quality and metadata management.
  • Effectively communicate and present complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Develop, maintain and improve Data Engineering services to support sharing of data across different teams.
  • Creatively solve problems, improve processes, and design methodically.
  • Drive collaboration within teams to provide support, share skills, and gain insight.
  • Confidently manage project delivery expectations and communications to project team.
You have:
  • Database design and modelling experience including experience designing data architectures and infrastructure components.
  • Experience with ETL processes, data storage and databases (SQL, cloud-based systems) to extract, transform, and analyze data for actionable marketing insights.
  • Functional understanding of APIs and API data calls
  • Experience with web analytics platforms (e.g.: Adobe Analytics / Google Analytics).
  • Understanding of digital media channels (e.g.: Social, SEM, SEO, OLV, etc.) including how each one works and how they interact with one another.
  • Experience with Redshift, Python, SQL and applying data engineering best practices to data product delivery.
  • Confidence in your communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to efficiently communicate deliveries and delays of project with follow‑ups as needed.
  • Well‑organized approach to working on multiple projects at once.
  • Passion to always improve your team’s craft through ongoing learning and support.
  • Strong collaboration, project management, and team building skills.
  • Ability to distill large quantities of information into clear and concise insights to formulate actionable recommendations.
  • Proficiency in current issues and trends within the online marketing industry with an emphasis on emerging media and mobile platforms.

Toronto: $90,000-$120,000

Omnicom’s policy requires employees to work in the office for a minimum of three days a week, unless additional in‑office days are directed by their agency or manager.
