Job description

Reporting to the Sr. Marketing Manager, Brand and Communications, the Marketing Communications Manager will support a wide range of internal and external communications initiatives. This role strengthens how our marketing team shows up inside the organization, elevates our brand externally, and helps to position the company as an industry leader. This role galvanizes the Superior team around its multiple initiatives, making each of us brand ambassadors of Superior. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is a strong storyteller, and can manage multiple programs and stakeholders with clarity and confidence.

Superior currently operates under a hybrid work model for eligible non-field positions. As Superior is in the process of securing a new office location in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), this role will initially be remote for GTA-based employees. Once the new office location is established, the position will transition to a hybrid work arrangement consistent with the company's existing flexible work practices.

What you'll do:
Internal Communications & Engagement
  • Highlight and promote Marketing team initiatives through town halls, intranet content, employee engagement programs, and internal communication channels.
  • Manage and enhance customer and employee referral programs to drive participation and brand advocacy.
  • Develop and publish newsletters, leadership updates, program summaries, and employee recognition content focusing on initiatives taken by the Commercial team including Marketing & Inside sales, Retention, Customer Experience and Commercial Sales
  • Support internal campaigns on key marketing campaigns that align employees with company strategy, culture, and performance goals.
  • Maintain a consistent internal messaging calendar and ensure alignment with brand tone and priorities.
  • Management of the North American ‘Presidents Club’ program.
External Communications & Industry Positioning
  • Work closely with Propane associations, lobby groups, and industry organizations across US & Canada to support advocacy, policy engagement, and thought leadership.
  • Help build and articulate a strong corporate narrative that positions the company as an industry leader in policy development, program adoption, and innovation.
  • Work closely with Sr Manager Corporate Communications to draft and support external communications, including press releases, public statements, partner announcements, and association publications.
  • Develop customer change communications and copywriting, i.e., price plans, service updates, and educational campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure brand presence and messaging are consistent across external channels and events.
  • Support content for industry initiatives, speaking engagements, and executive participation in panels and roundtables.
Events, Trade Shows & Corporate Programming
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute trade shows, corporate events, and sponsored industry programs.
  • Manage speaker coordination, briefing materials, event logistics, and presentation development.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure strong brand presence, effective booth and materials execution, and high-quality attendee engagement.
  • Track event performance, lead capture, and post-event communications in partnership with marketing operations.
Brand Stewardship & Consistency
  • Ensure all content — internal or external — aligns with brand standards, tone, and messaging frameworks.
  • Maintain consistency across presentations, written content, digital channels, and executive communications.
  • Support the development of branded templates, materials, and communication assets.
What you bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in brand management, marketing, communications, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of brand strategy, messaging frameworks, and corporate narrative development.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution in a fast‑paced environment. Proven experience leading complex, high‑visibility initiatives and delivering measurable business results.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience developing executive presentations, strategic briefs, newsletters, and leadership communications.
  • Experience working with internal communication platforms, intranets, and employee engagement tools.
  • Proven ability to adapt to changing priorities, navigate ambiguity, and exercise sound judgment under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining brand consistency and quality standards across channels.
  • Results‑oriented mindset with the ability to leverage data, insights, and performance metrics to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement.
