Job summary

The Saskatchewan Research Council (SRC) seeks an External Relations Advisor to deliver professional marketing, communications and stakeholder engagement across the organization. You will partner with business units to develop day-to-day activities that strengthen SRC’s brand and raise awareness in key sectors and geographies.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience planning and executing integrated marketing campaigns across a variety of channels.
• Certification or training in areas such as social media, digital marketing, website strategy or Google Analytics is an asset.
• Experience developing communication plans, marketing materials, digital content and multi-channel campaigns.
• Experience using digital marketing tools like Hootsuite, Canva and MailChimp is an asset.
• Experience or interest working in science, technology, innovation or government environments is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead SRC’s social media, email marketing and audience engagement programs.
• Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
• Support and enhance SRC’s website through content development and analytics.
• Create compelling written and visual content for internal and external marketing and communications.
• Collaborate with team members to create marketing materials and assets while maintaining brand standards.
• Monitor marketing trends and provide recommendations for implementation.
• Assist with events, media, government relations and related communications activities.
