Job summary

Educators Financial Group is seeking a Marketing Automation Specialist to develop and optimize client experience marketing campaigns that drive acquisition, engagement, and retention. You will leverage Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Financial Services Cloud, and analytics to deliver personalized communications.

Reporting to the VP, Business Technology, you will collaborate with the Client Experience Marketing Lead and partners to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • University degree or college diploma in Business or Marketing fields.
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing, digital marketing, or related discipline.
  • 3+ years hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) or comparable platform.
  • SQL knowledge for audience segmentation and data validation is an asset.
  • Experience with AMPscript, HTML/CSS, and SQL is preferred.
  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce Financial Services Cloud) is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience building customer journeys and data-driven campaigns.
  • SFMC certifications such as Marketing Cloud Engagement Specialist or Marketing Cloud Administrator are desirable.
  • Creative thinking with ability to oversee effective design work.
  • Experience interpreting campaign performance metrics and marketing dashboards.
  • Knowledge of marketing analytics, client segmentation and data visualization.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and marketing automation technologies.
  • Excellent project/time management skills.
  • Knowledge or experience in financial services is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute client experience marketing programs for growth and engagement.
  • Manage end-to-end campaign execution from requirements to post-launch reporting.
  • Configure and deploy multi-channel journeys in SFMC (Journey Builder, Automation Studio, data extensions).
  • Support triggered communications across email, SMS, direct mail, and digital channels.
  • Monitor launches and coordinate issue resolution with partners.
  • Maintain journey documentation, ensuring compliance and brand alignment.
  • Translate campaign objectives into audience, data, and technical requirements with internal teams.
  • Coordinate with vendors and agencies for campaign assets and timelines.
  • Enhance journeys using performance insights and client feedback.
  • Conduct QA to ensure accurate, compliant multi-channel delivery.
  • Track program performance with dashboards and reporting tools.

Compensation and benefits packages include:

  • Annual salary (hiring range): $70,000 - $85,000 (subject to the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications and skills), plus annual Short-Term Incentive Plan (STIP) bonus.

About the Role

The Marketing Automation Specialist plays a key role in developing, executing, and optimizing client experience marketing campaigns and journeys that support client acquisition, engagement, retention, and digital adoption initiatives.

Reporting to the Vice President, Business Technology, and working closely with the Client Experience Marketing Lead and cross-functional partners, this role leverages Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Financial Services Cloud, analytics, and emerging technologies to deliver personalized, data-driven client communications. The candidate will contribute to enhancing the overall client experience by identifying opportunities for innovation, continuous improvement and meaningful client engagement cross the client lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting the Client Experience Marketing Lead in the design, development, and execution of client experience marketing programs focused on client growth, digital enablement, service excellence, and Net Promoter Score (NPS) improvement.
  • Managing end-to-end campaign execution from requirements gathering, planning, and audience definition through building, deployment, post-launch monitoring, and reporting.
  • Configuring, testing, and deploying multi-channel marketing journeys using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Journey Builder, automation studio, data extensions, audience segmentation, campaign activities, content, personalization, and delivery schedules.
  • Supporting triggered and automated communications across email, SMS, direct mail, digital portal and other client communication channels.
  • Monitoring campaign launches, proactively identifying delivery or data issues, and coordinating resolution with appropriate partners.
  • Maintaining journey documentation and ensuring communications remain current, compliant, accurate, and aligned with business objectives, privacy requirements, brand standards, and client experience expectations.
  • Partnering with internal teams to translate campaign objectives into audience, data, journey, and technical requirements.
  • Liaising with external partners, vendors, and creative agencies to support the development and delivery of campaign assets, ensuring alignment with campaign objectives, brand standards, technical requirements and timelines.
  • Supporting ongoing enhancement and optimization of client journeys using campaign performance insights, team feedback, and client experience considerations.
  • Conducting quality assurance testing with strong attention to detail to support accurate, compliant, and seamless multi-channel delivery to market.
  • Tracking, compiling, and analyzing program performance using reporting tools and/or dashboards to ensure programs are continuously working as designed and are meeting objectives.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally (as required) to build/maintain reports and dashboards.
  • Providing actionable insights and recommendations to improve future program KPIs (i.e., ORs, CTRs, customer engagement, lead conversion etc.).
Qualifications
  • University degree or college diploma in the Business or Marketing fields
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in marketing, business communications, digital marketing, technology or related discipline
  • 3+ years of hands‑on experience working with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) or a comparable enterprise marketing automation/CRM platform (i.e., Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred)
  • Working knowledge of SQL for audience segmentation, data validation and campaign execution is an asset
  • Experience with AMPscript, HTML/CSS, and some working knowledge of SQL is preferred
  • Experience working with CRM systems (i.e., Salesforce Financial Services Cloud) is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience building customer journeys and data-driven campaigns
  • Desirable SFMC certifications: Marketing Cloud Engagement Specialist, Marketing Cloud Administrator
