Job summary

TalentSphere Staffing Solutions Inc. collaborates with a Calgary-based architecture and design firm to recruit a Marketing & Proposal Lead.

You will develop proposals, presentations and marketing materials for high-profile projects, working closely with architects, designers and technical teams. The role requires 5+ years of marketing/proposal experience, expert Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop) skills, strong writing and visual design, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in marketing or proposal/communications within professional services (AEC or similar)
• Experience developing proposals, presentations, brochures or marketing collateral for complex projects
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign and Photoshop
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with other design/CRM platforms is a plus
• Exceptional eye for design, layout, typography and visual presentation
• Strong writing and editing and communication skills
• Ability to translate technical information into clear, compelling content
• Excellent organization and time-management with multiple deadlines

With an impressive portfolio of projects across Alberta and Canada, the firm is looking to add a Marketing & Proposal Specialist to its Calgary team. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative marketing professional who enjoys working closely with architects, designers and technical teams to develop compelling proposals and marketing materials that help win exciting projects.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong eye for design, excellent written and visual communication skills, and experience within the Architecture, Engineering or Construction (AEC) industry.

THE ROLE

Working closely with the marketing team and project professionals, you will be responsible for developing high-quality proposals, presentations and marketing materials.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Collaborating with architects, consultants and internal marketing professionals to lead and develop compelling proposal content, layouts, imagery and graphics.
• Creating visually engaging proposals and presentations for major architectural and design projects.
• Preparing marketing materials for award submissions, exhibitions, conferences and community/industry events.
• Developing graphics and compiling market-sector content, including project profiles, firm information and credentials.
• Creating engaging content for the firm's website, social media and other digital platforms.
• Coordinating proposal response plans, schedules and internal communications.
• Managing proposal timelines and following up with internal contributors to ensure deadlines are met.
• Helping maintain and develop marketing collateral, templates and other business development materials.
• Supporting broader marketing and business development initiatives as required.
• Working with clients and other stakeholders

What's Required

• 5+ years of experience in a marketing, proposal, communications or related role, ideally within Architecture, Engineering, Construction or another professional services environment.
• Experience developing proposals, presentations, brochures or other marketing collateral for complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign and Photoshop.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with other design, CRM, proposal or marketing platforms is an asset.
• An exceptional eye for design, layout, typography and visual presentation.
• Strong writing, editing and communication skills.
• The ability to take technical information and transform it into clear, compelling and visually engaging content.
• Excellent organization and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
• Experience with business development pursuits
• Ability to work collaboratively with architects, designers, engineers and other technical professionals.
• Candidates who can provide samples of proposals, presentations, brochures, award submissions or other relevant marketing work are strongly preferred.
• Leadership experience is a plus
