BestQuote is rapidly growing its web-based insurance brokerage specializing in travel, accident and sickness insurance. Through our online quote engine, we help international and Canadian clients locate insurance policies that provide the best coverage at the best cost. We offer flexible working conditions, a fast-paced but casual working environment and the ability to work from home occasionally.

We have an opening for a part-time (possibility of full-time depending on skills / experience) marketing & administrative assistant Korean or Mandarin native speaker. We are seeking an energetic and detail oriented individual who is interested in working in a fast-paced environment in our Vancouver office. After completing a training program, daily tasks will focus on maintaining the Korean or Mandarin-language translation of website and marketing materials, and supporting our agent team in dealing with client workflow. Duration : one year renewable annually for up to four years (IEC visa, PR or Canadian citizenship status required).

Required :

  • High level of reading, writing, and speaking skills in English;
  • Prior experience in an office setting is preferred;
  • Fluent reading, writing, and speaking skills in Korean and / or Mandarin;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Minimum 2 years College / University – preferably with diploma / degree;
  • High energy, positive attitude and team player;
  • Ability to take direction, but act with initiative and self motivate to meet deadlines and responsibilities;
  • Solid organizational ability and an attention to detail;
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure;
  • Previous Digital Marketing / Content Creation experience would be an asset.

Responsibilities :

  • Maintain Korean and / or Mandarin-language website and social media;
  • Create Korean and / or Mandarin-language content and marketing materials;
  • Engage in Korean and / or Mandarin-language SEO campaigns;
  • Send basic email marketing communication to website users in English, Korean and Mandarin;
  • Complete administrative tasks such as processing early return refunds, cancellations, policy date changes;
  • Validate monthly commission statements from suppliers;
  • Follow-up with clients to obtain missing application / refund information;
  • Answer client calls and redirect to office agents during heavy call volumes;
  • Complete various tasks associated with the operation of our day-to-day business.

20 – 30 hours per week (can become full-time)

Wages :

25 / hr. Additional significant team-based monthly bonuses after three-month probationary period.
