Eataly Market Lead position in Toronto is a pivotal role connecting Market team members with the Market Manager to ensure well-stocked, attractive displays and outstanding guest service. You will use product knowledge to drive sales and support a positive shopping experience across the retail department.

The role emphasizes stock control, collaboration with the Warehouse, training and motivating Market Associates, and maintaining accurate signage and pricing.

Qualifications

• Positive attitude and ability to work well with a team.
• Basic math and cash handling skills.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous stocking experience in a retail setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stocks, rotates and faces products according to department procedure and merchandising standards.
• Collaborates with Warehouse to maintain stock levels and organize back stock and storage.
• Receives deliveries, verifies order and invoice accuracy.
• Assists with delegating tasks, supervising, training and motivating Market Associates.
• Maintains department signage, pricing and labeling.
• Rotates products according to FIFO standards.
• Inspects shelves, removes expired or damaged merchandise promptly.
• Communicates grocery needs or problems to Market Manager promptly.
• Assesses food waste and directs donations where possible.
• Coordinates product demos with Events & Education.
• Maintains safe and clean work conditions and compliance with local regulations.
• Performs light cleaning and handles packaging disposal.
• Handles payments and ensures accurate accounting of transactions.
• Counts cash, checks and payments at end of shift to verify bank.
• Verifies price changes information and performs other duties as required.
