Job summary

Pomerleau in Montreal, QC is seeking a Market Intelligence Analyst to capture market-critical information and guide long-term strategic trends in the Canadian construction sector.

You will report on market dynamics, coordinate cross-functional groups, and support business development with insights derived from multiple data sources, including Salesforce dashboards. Bilingual English/French communication is required, and a collaborative, fast-paced environment awaits.

Qualifications

  • Two or more years of market research analysis experience and a post-secondary degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with developing search methodologies and robust data analysis across multiple sources.
  • Advanced computer skills with PowerPoint, Word, Excel; familiarity with databases and CRM programs.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and French, plus teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and facilitate working groups around key clients (KAMP program).
  • Support business development in key account management, strategic growth initiatives and process efficiency.
  • Contribute to strategic planning to conduct market research and identify key market insights.
  • Identify and define the objectives of assigned market research projects; determine the best methods to use.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative research; manage dashboards and reports in Salesforce.
  • Liaise with business development leaders to stay in touch with market realities and support market research needs.
  • Conduct competitive market watch on the construction industry, future projects, clients and competitors.
  • Dive into the details to summarize and analyze data, and make recommendations based on findings.
  • Simplify complex data into user-friendly formats such as graphs, tables and other visual aids.

As a Market Intelligence Analyst, you’ll be at the heart of the construction industry, capturing market-critical information that enables our team to make informed high impact business decisions.

The Market Intelligence Analyst has a key responsibility for reporting, analyzing and guiding long‑term strategic trends in the Canadian construction industry. As a Market Intelligence Analyst, you will work to gather data from a variety of sources within the established pillars and corporate objectives and explore other development avenues relevant to the business.

What You Will Do
  • Ensure the coordination and facilitation of the various working groups organized around key clients (KAMP program);
  • Support business development teams in key account management, strategic business growth initiatives and process efficiency.
  • Contribute to strategic planning targeting key markets or clients to conduct market research and identify key market insights.
  • Identify and define the objectives of an assigned market research project; determine the best methods to use to achieve these objectives;
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative research, manage and update dashboards and reports in Salesforce.
  • Liaise with business development leaders across Pomerleau to stay in touch with their market realities and support them in the production of their market research needs;
  • Conduct competitive market watch on the construction industry, future projects, clients and competitors;

This role could be for you if you have :

  • Two (2) + years of experience in market research analysis is required and a post‑secondary degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Architecture, Economics or other relevant field;
  • Experience with developing and executing search methodologies, strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills and experience, and the ability to acquire data from multiple sources and organize/catalogue research and present effectively. Ability to multi‑task and manage multiple responsibilities, changing priorities, and excel in a fast‑paced environment;
  • Advanced computer skills and a high proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel as well as a working knowledge of databases and customer‑relationship management (CRM) programs;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and French, as well as excellent interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills.
