Job summary

Canadian Tire Corporation, Limited is seeking a Market and GIS Analyst to support the Real Estate and GIS Decision Support team in Toronto. You will develop market analyses, forecast sales, cannibalization estimates, and demographic insights to inform capital investment decisions.

You will work with Esri GIS products, PowerBI, and Python automation to create actionable maps and dashboards for regional development teams and stakeholders across the organization.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate GIS/Geography degree required.
• 1–3 years experience in sales forecasts and market analysis for retailers or consultancies.
• Experience with Esri GIS products to create informative maps.
• Data preparation, analysis, and statistical tools experience.
• Familiarity with Knime, PowerBI, Python automation, and Azure Synapse is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop market and location analyses with detailed sales forecasts, cannibalization estimates, competitor analysis, and demographic analysis.
• Assist in the creation of long-term real estate strategies by incorporating store performance, demographics and macro forecasts.
• Assess historical project performance vs. plan and post-audit analyses to improve accuracy and efficiencies.
• Prepare content and visuals to explain sales forecasts and related analysis for monthly Real Estate meeting cycles.
• Look for opportunities to enhance the current process through new geospatial datasets, products, and self-serve applications.
