Job Description
The global Market Data Services team consists of three sub-groups (MDS Administration, MDS Solutions and MDS Compliance) who engage, strategize, and support enterprise-wide businesses and stakeholders.
This role in the MDS Control team is responsible for the access management of market data services (including but not limited to granting entitlements); and partners with technology and operations professionals providing expertise on market data service orders.
Market Data Control (primary responsibility)
Processes requests for market data terminals, feeds, and exchange services, including platforms such as Bloomberg and Refinitiv.
Reviews all orders for accuracy against applicable licensing agreements and coordinates with vendors for timely setup and provisioning.
Maintains and updates a global inventory of all active market data users, vendors, and services, including physical hardware, software entitlements, and user licenses.
Monitors inventory to identify redundancies, prevent over-licensing, and mitigate unnecessary costs.
Compiles regular reports on data consumption and prepares declarations of data usage as required by financial exchanges such as NYSE and NASDAQ.
Maintains strong relationships with exchanges, third‑party vendors, and key internal business contacts.
Develops a thorough understanding of RBC procedures and processes to effectively support internal teams and external partners.
2–5+ years in market data administration and data vendor licensing rules.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and experience with Market Data Management Systems MDSL.
Strong understanding of financial market data vendors (Bloomberg, Refinitiv, FactSet) and exchange reporting policies (e.g., NYSE, NASDAQ).
Experience working with market data suppliers is beneficial but not mandatory.
Critical thinking with the ability to multitask, shift priorities, and complete work both independently and in a team setting.
Exceptional verbal and written skills for vendor negotiations and maintaining relationships with internal technology and finance stakeholders.
