Data Solutions Analyst

Business Overview:

Support the function and team of Data Solutions for Product Referential setups and maintenance in response to internal client needs. The team is constantly evolving its delivery offering to ensure more straight-through processing and implement the principal of one golden source for key referential data.

This department has been established with the following three pillars:

  • Product Referential Data Support: setup and maintenance of key product referential data that flows into front, middle and back office applications and has wide ranging impacts on trading, settlement and reporting activities; furthering the “know your data” culture including formal governance of data quality and timely delivery to key stakeholders. The team also captures, challenges, and tests the control framework of the production processes and works to perfect processes and reduce data issues.
  • Procedure Management: working with team to ensure cross‑trained capabilities are in place as well as robust procedure documentation to provide consistent in-depth knowledge of the products and processes; coordination with global teams toward the management of this key data in a variety of systems
  • Data Quality: establish a framework to assess and report on the quality of the data used for reporting purposes and an effective remediation team
Product Referential/Data Solutions Responsibilities
  • Creation, Update, Management of all Instruments and Static data in all Booking, Market Data and Settlement systems for Equity Derivative and Fixed Income products.
  • Ensure the data are correct and accurate and provide enhancements and solutions to allow quicker reconciliations.
  • Books and Portfolios creation and maintenance
  • Support internal clients for all issues related to Product Referential data maintenance
  • Able to nurture and develop relationships with stakeholders in Front, Middle, and Back Office
  • Define tasks, team workload, missions & objectives for each team member
  • Daily controls of Local Market Data (Closing Prices, Rates, Fixings & Volatility) used for P&L & Risk production
  • Monitor & Maintain corporate action events within internal and external systems impacted and Communicate to internal clients (FO, MO, BO, Client Service and etc…) the details of the events
  • Coordinate and execute the announcements and auctions of US Treasury (When Issued) securities
  • Participate to local and global projects related to process improvements and / or systems migrations
  • Ensure appropriate escalation to management and/or Permanent Control (or Compliance as appropriate) as soon as an issue is identified.
Business Support Responsibilities
  • Preparation of KPI and team metric materials
  • Preparation of materials as requested for CIB Americas Knowledge sharing purposes
  • Coordination of senior meetings, organization/preparation of agendas, minutes and follow‑up as required
  • Support Head of Data Solutions in running projects as well as oversight monitoring
  • Coordination of business commentaries – weekly, monthly, ad‑hoc and supporting similar commentaries required by certain CIB Americas teams
  • Will be assigned ad‑hoc projects during the course of the year, often of a transversal nature across CIB, with requirements for presentation type deliverables
  • Coordinate, monitor, track and collect deliverables for management reporting
  • Oversight of BCP and BAU across CIB perimeter to ensure adherence to policy
Profile
  • 5+ years in the Financial Services industry preferred
  • Working toward or holds Graduate degree preferred – Subject area includes: Economics, Finance, Business, Accounting, Marketing or similar
  • Sophisticated interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, comfortable interacting at C‑level
  • Adept at managing competing deliverables, prioritizing successfully to deliver workload on schedule
  • Flexible and quick to change gears / cover many subjects for various Business Partners
  • Excellent MS Office skills – including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Self‑driven but strong at ensuring directives are delivered in a transparent fashion
