Job summary

OSI Maritime Systems is seeking a Mechanical Engineer 2 to join the engineering team developing naval navigation and bridge systems for government and military markets. You will design, evaluate, and document mechanical components and their integration within bridge systems, supporting cost reduction and lifecycle maintainability.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering with 2–4 years of experience, proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD, and knowledge of vibration, thermal, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 2–4 years of experience
• Knowledge of mechanical design and design for manufacturing
• Experience with vibration, shock, thermal and structural analysis
• Experience with civilian and military certification testing
• Proven ability to analyze and solve hardware problems

Responsibilities

• Conduct studies, experiments and tests for navigation and bridge system products per codes and customer requirements
• Contribute to mechanical design using COTS and military-grade parts
• Update and maintain the parts database
• Prepare design documents and material lists
• Support CAD team with design information for drawings
• Ensure designs meet industry standards and project requirements
• Communicate technical information across departments
• Assist with engineering change requests and analysis
