A leading company in the marine industry is looking for a Marine Electronics Technician in Vancouver. The role involves troubleshooting, installing electronics, and conducting repairs on various marine vessels. A Marine Electrician Certificate and relevant experience in yacht systems are required. The compensation is competitive, with benefits including paid vacation, dental care, and extended health insurance.
Candidate will report daily to Operations Manager and Service Coordinator. Experience and general knowledge of yacht systems and marine electronics is an asset. Must be able to work independently, take responsibility for your work, and perform mobile field work. Quality control is key. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, testing, and installing marine electronics and equipment to determine the need for repairs or adjustments. Additional duties include repairs, routine maintenance, winterizing, and seasonal maintenance.
Required Skills and Education :
Must be able to speak and understand English.
3-5 years of equivalent marine yacht system service (1 year required). Marine Electrician Certificate (Required).
Valid driver’s license; vehicle is an asset (Kilometers paid). Small Craft Operator’s Card (beneficial to have).
Practical experience with tools and equipment used in marine maintenance. Ability to diagnose faults and repair electronic equipment.
Relevant technical knowledge and software skills.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Electrical, mechanical, and plumbing diagnostics and repair on pleasure boats. Installation of new equipment on vessels.
Commissioning of new vessels and equipment to ensure proper operation. Conduct equipment operation checklists when required.
Keep and maintain records of work performed.

Compensation : $28.00-$40.00 per hour, 3 weeks paid annual vacation, dental care, disability insurance, extended health care, life insurance, store discount, vision care.
